Pissards Plum
You will find our best specimen of the Pissards Plum (Prunus Cerasifera Pissardii) in front of Jessamine Cottage.
This was part of the original planting for the Model Village in the early 1950’s. We have 3 in the garden in total. They are subject to a regular pruning regime approximately 6 weeks after they come into leaf. This older specimen is more focal so shoots are nipped out once a week.
Fred’s Tip – keeping the soft fleshy growth to a minimum keeps the tree aphids down.
